which I can neither understand nor explain; but as the Father calls him his Son, I unhesitatingly believe that he is what the Scripture constantly calls him, “the Son of God.” In our text, we find that the Father not only calls Christ his Son, but he says, “This is my beloved Son.” What wondrous love there must be in the heart of each one of the divine Persons in the sacred Trinity towards each of the others!
